SAN DIEGO – LifeProof skater Lizzie Armanto captured her fourth consecutive podium in the Vans Women’s Pro Skate Series at the Vans U.S. Open of Surfing. Armanto finished with a score of 81.31 on Tuesday, one of only two riders to crack the 80-mark in the women’s competition.

The podium has become a familiar landmark in Huntington Beach, Calif., for Armanto. She placed third last year after back-to-back wins in her first two contests at the Vans U.S. Open of Surfing.

The second place finish qualifies Armanto for the World Championships in Malmö in August and continues a strong summer that includes a silver medal in women’s skate park at X Games Austin.

LifeProof athletes Gary Young (BMX) and Tom Schaar (skate) will also be competing throughout the week. Young looks to return to the top of the BMX Van Doren Invitational on July 29 after a runner-up finish in 2015 and winning the competition in 2014. Schaar has never competed at the Vans U.S. Open of Surfing and will take on the Vans Pro Skate Park Series on July 30.
