SAN DIEGO – LifeProof, the official waterproof case of X Games, congratulates Jarryd McNeil on his fan-voted gold medal performance today in Fruit of the Loom Moto X Best Whip at X Games Austin 2016, securing his second gold medal for the weekend.

McNeil, 24, crushed the competition with 39 percent of the fan vote for Moto X Best Whip. The gold medal finish earned him his second gold medal for the weekend and seventh X Games medal overall.

“Two golds in two different disciplines, I couldn’t ask for any better,” said McNeil. “I guess hard work pays and I’m stoked. I’m stoked to have LifeProof on board as my primary sponsor.”

McNeil wooed the crowd and fans everywhere with his final whip, turning his bike backwards in the air.

“To those fans, thanks you guys are amazing,” said McNeil. “Thanks for picking the best whip. There are a lot of guys out there that throw down and I guess you guys thought I had the best, so thank you.”

McNeil is one of five competing LifeProof athletes at X Games this weekend. Lizzie Armanto won silver in Women’s Skateboard Park, Johnny Lewis finished seventh in the Harley-Davidson Flat-Track Motorcycle Race and Gary Young placed tenth in Toyota BMX Park. Tom Scharr placed fifth in today’s Toyota Men’s Skateboard Park.
