SAN DIEGO – LifeProof, the official waterproof case of X Games, congratulates Lizzie Armanto on her silver medal performance today in the Women’s Skateboard Park at X Games Austin 2016.

Landing an 82.66 in her first run, Armanto, 23, took the silver medal in just her second X Games competition ever. Armanto has competed at two of three Women’s Skateboard Park competitions in X Games history, previously skating at X Games Barcelona 2013.

“It’s awesome that we got it back and I’m really excited for the turnout of everything,” said Armanto. “I was stoked to see the girls skating awesome and it was a fun event.”

Armanto is considered one of the best female transition skaters in the game. She is fresh off a win at Sweden's Vert Attack X in April and had a solid third-place finish at the Girls Combi Pool Classic in January.

“Thanks for everyone who made it out,” said Armanto. “It was cool having a live crowd, it’s really special to see the people of Austin and their support for women’s skateboarding and skateboarding in general.”

Armanto is the fourth LifeProof athlete to compete this weekend and second to win a medal. Jarryd McNeil took gold ‪on Thursday night in LifeProof Moto X Step Up and is competing again in Moto X Best Whip Sunday. Johnny Lewis finished seventh in the Harley-Davidson Flat-Track Motorcycle Race and Gary Young placed tenth in Toyota BMX Park earlier today. Tom Schaar is set to compete in Skateboard Big Air later tonight after the event was rescheduled due to weather.
