SAN DIEGO – LifeProof, the official waterproof case of X Games, congratulates France’s Kevin Rolland on his incredible run last night, landing him a gold medal finish in Men’s Ski Superpipe at X Games Aspen 2016.

In an amazing upset, Rolland, 26, took his third-ever gold medal with his final run alone. After not finishing his first two runs, Rolland combined multiple technical maneuvers, including double-cork flips from both the left and right sides for his final run. His clean landing and technical maneuvers earned him a score of 93.33.

"I didn’t have any choice,” said Rolland on his gold-medal performance. “I had to land it. When I don’t have any choice, I land it usually. I’m better under pressure.” 

Prior to this win, the LifeProof freestyle ski athlete took home silver two years running at X Games and bronze at the 2014 Sochi Olympics. With his third gold medal under his belt, he’s already looking to the next big competition.

"I’m going to try to enjoy it for a few days, then I’m off to Park City for the Grand Prix and then the (Crystal Globe),” said Rolland.
