LifeProof Returns to Huntington Beach for Vans U.S. Open of Surfing
-Young, Schaar, Armanto to compete in BMX and skate competitions-

SAN DIEGO, July 26, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Among the breaking surf and a surge of a half-million spectators, the surfing world has descended on Huntington Beach, Calif. through July 31 for the 2016 Vans U.S. Open of Surfing. LifeProof athletes Young, Schaar and Armanto will compete at Vans US Open of Surfing in Huntington Beach, Calif.

LifeProof athletes Gary Young (BMX), Tom Schaar (skate) and Lizzie Armanto (skate) will also be competing throughout the week alongside some of the top talent in the BMX and skate worlds.

Young will be competing in the BMX Van Doren Invitational at the Vans Pro Park course on July 29. He won the competition in 2014. Schaar, new to the Huntington Beach scene, will take on the Vans Pro Skate Park Series on July 30. Schaar took first in the 2015 Vans Pool Party pros division. Armanto will compete for the fourth time in Huntington Beach as part of the Vans Pro Skate Series on July 26. She clinched third place in last year's women's Vans Pro Skate Series after back-to-back wins the two years prior.
